Founded in 1932, Sons of The American Legion (S.A.L.) was created to honor the dedication and sacrifice of American Legion veterans. Members include male descendants, adopted sons, grandsons, and stepsons of veterans who served honorably and were eligible for American Legion membership.

At Elgin Post 57, the Sons of The American Legion proudly supports veterans, military families, youth programs, community events, and charitable initiatives throughout the Elgin area. Members play an active role in supporting Post 57 activities while continuing the Legion’s legacy of service, patriotism, and community involvement.
Whether you’re interested in volunteering, supporting local veterans, participating in events, or becoming part of the Legion Family, we invite you to learn more about the S.A.L.

MONTHLY MEETINGS
The Sons of The American Legion meets at Post 57 on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.
Visitors and prospective members are always welcome to attend, meet current members, and learn more about how the S.A.L. serves veterans and the local community.
